Plagiarism Policy

The Journal of Acharya Narendra Dev Institute is committed to high ethical codes in publication and quality of the journal. In doing so it is wedded to the canon of zero tolerance for plagiarism and expects ethical behavior from the contributors. The Editorial Board is very stringent about plagiarism and believes that producing ideas or work of others without giving them due to acknowledgment as highly objectionable.

As per UGC Guidelines according to a recent gazette notification, plagiarism of up to 10 percent would not be subjected to penalty, between 10 – 40 percent would mean the submission of a revised research paper within one month. If plagiarism is between 40-60 percent, authors will be debarred from submitting a paper for one year. Furthermore, registration will be canceled if the similarities are above 60 percent.

Proper citation is a prerequisite and a must and it is at the discretion of the Editorial Board to reject the submitted manuscript if it is subject to plagiarism of any degree. It needs to be mentioned that in case of copyright violations, contributors shall be accountable for their acts of omission and commission and in no way the publisher or the editor shall be held responsible.

Work submitted without this signed declaration will not be reviewed, and hence will not be published in the Journal of Acharya Narendra Dev Research Institute. Research and publication misconduct is considered a serious breach of ethics. The Journal systematically employs URKUND and iThenticate, plagiarism detection and prevention software designed to ensure the originality of written work before publication. Manuscripts including plagiarized content will be rejected.
